THE PROJECT
An overview of the project’s vision, structure, and eco-development approach.
A Considered Eco-Development

Vuez Resort & Eco Retreat is a planned eco-tourism development located on the western shores of Lake Jindabyne within the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. Guided by a long-term vision, the project seeks to create a destination that responds thoughtfully to its alpine setting while supporting sustainable, year-round tourism.
Landscape-Led Masterplanning
The masterplan has been shaped by the natural contours of the land, lake frontage, and surrounding landscape character. Built elements are carefully positioned to respect view corridors, minimise visual impact, and retain generous open space across the site.
Sustainability as a Guiding Principle
Sustainability is embedded as a guiding principle rather than a feature. Design strategies prioritise energy efficiency, water-sensitive planning, durable materials, and landscape integration, supporting long-term environmental responsibility and operational resilience.

The Two-Part Development
Vuez Resort & Eco Retreat is structured as an integrated two-part eco-development. The project combines professionally managed tourist accommodation with a complementary resort precinct, designed to function together as a cohesive alpine destination.
This integrated approach supports operational efficiency, shared amenities, environmental responsibility, and a consistent visitor experience across the entire site.
Part One: Tourist Accommodation
The tourist accommodation component is designed to provide high-quality, purpose-built stays for visitors to the Snowy Mountains. Rather than traditional residential development, the accommodation is conceived specifically for short-stay tourism, supporting the region’s strong seasonal demand and growing year-round visitation.
Buildings are planned with careful consideration of site topography, view corridors, and environmental sensitivity. Design principles prioritise durability, energy efficiency, and low-impact construction, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational performance.
Professional management is intended to maintain consistent standards across accommodation, guest services, and property care, contributing to the long-term viability of the destination.
Part Two: Resort & Destination Facilities
Complementing the accommodation offering, the resort precinct is planned to provide shared amenities and destination-focused experiences that enhance the overall visitor journey.
The resort component is envisioned to include hospitality spaces, gathering areas, and facilities that encourage longer stays and support off-season activity. Landscaped open spaces, lakefront access, and connections to surrounding trails are integral to the overall masterplan, strengthening the relationship between built form and natural environment.
By combining accommodation with shared resort infrastructure, Vuez is positioned as more than a place to stay, it is intended to function as a coordinated alpine destination with unified standards of design, management, and environmental responsibility.
How the Two Components Work Together?
The accommodation and resort elements are designed to operate in alignment, sharing infrastructure, services, and environmental systems where appropriate. This integrated model supports efficiency, reduces duplication of resources, and strengthens the overall guest experience while maintaining sensitivity to the surrounding landscape.
